Scarlett Johansson - American Actress and singer (born in NYC on the 22nd of November 1984) Her range of talents as an actor has garnered the world awe for her work in dramas from the past to thrillers and adventure. Johansson was the daughter of an architect and a producer, was born in New York City. Hunter is her twin sister, was also born in the city of New York. As a young girl of just 7 year old, she started casting for commercials on television. The passion for acting developed quickly and she enrolled shortly thereafter at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She made her debut as an actress on film in North (1994) when she was nine. At eight, she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson then appeared as a character in Just Cause, but she first made an appearance in Manny & Lo, a film about orphaned siblings who flee. The Horse Whisperer (2000), in which she played the role of a teenage girl who has a deformity due to an accident garnered an acclaim from critics. Then in Ghost World 2001 (as the teenager who is a cynical outcast Rebecca), Johansson gained the attention of a whole new generation.
