Dina originates from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she moved in Dix Hills on Long Island just before she finished her senior year. There are two of her younger siblings as well as an elder brother. At the age of 9 until 16, she began working in the entertainment business by modelling. She started her acting training in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York and studied Sanford Meisner's acting techniques along in conjunction with Ron Stetson, for about three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among the actors who received such training. The first role she acted in was with Beverly Hills 90210. This meant she had to move out into Los Angeles. She was cast as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she did almost every stunt by herself. She also established herself as a skilled actor. In addition to the agency that represented Matt LeBlanc, her agent was responsible for a number of recurring roles on Friends.
